End Of The Year Party, December 14th Meeting

This meeting marks the end of another year for the CAVF. 2009 was full of twist and turns but as always we come out on the other side for the better. We had 30 in attendance, members, spouses and children. A good time was had by all but with a few regulars missing it just wasn't the same. As the group was getting down on the salad and bread I brought the short business meeting to order. Nothing really to discuss but the highlights were: The Fall CAVF show will be held at Toad Suck Park as in the past. We will be playing more on a possible 2 day show with camping Friday and Saturday at the grounds just over the river from the show site. We will be back at American Pie Pizza for a few meetings in 2010 until a new location (or we stay) will be deiced by popular vote. Officers were named: Jason O. as President, Dave C. as VP, Grady as sec/tres, Beth as charter director and Thomas M. as director, at large. After the business talk was done we had dinner and then moved on to the Dirty Santa portion of the evening. There were a few "heated" steals going back and forth but in the end I think/hope everyone left with something they can enjoy. See for yourself in the pictures.

I would like to thank the members and support team for all the help and dedication in 2009. It was not the smoothest year but we still had a great show, we were able to help our charity and enjoy our Volkswagens and that is what we are all here for anyways. I welcome the 2010 officers and ask everyone to help and support them and the club to make 2010 a great year.

Thank you all for coming out for the meeting, it always good to see the members that can't always make the regular meetings due to job, family, school, distance... Thank you for making it out, no matter the drive time.
